Archaean period

Fauna
At the beginning of the Archaean the earth is a poisoned world were no life exist. At the beginning of the Archaean era the first materials for future life began to form in the oceans. These materials are the amino acids, Proteins from were RNA and DNA can be formed. Around 3500 million years ago the first cyanobacteria appeared. These cyanobacterian are protokaryotes (organism without a nucleus). These protokaryotes evolve in photosynthetic organisms. As a result of this the oxygen level began to rise. And the first eukaryotes life forms appeared. Eukaryotes are organisms with a nucleus.

The water - development.
There is no life on earth.

The land - development.
There is no life on earth.

The air - development.
There is no life on earth.

Flora
The water - development.
At the beginning of the Archaean the first materials of live began to form in the oceans. Blue-green algae began to form in the seas in the Archaean. These algae are protokaryotes (organism without a nucleus). When the first eukaryotes (organism with a nucleus) appeared the first green algae were formed.

The land - development.
There is no life on land.

Geology
During the Archaean era the earth is cooled down enough so that stable continents en rocks could be formed. At the beginning of the Archaean the earthsurface is covered with big oceans with young continents. The continents grow slowly and the supercontinent Rodinia becomes bigger and bigger. The continents grow partly because of the lava from the vulcanic eruptions.

Climate
At the beginning of the Archaean era, the climate is very warm. The earth is still young and is slowly cooling down. That is why stable continents could be formed. Later on in the Archaean era there is a colder period. The first ice-age appeares. During the ice-age the earth is almost completly covered with ice. At the beginning of the Archaean, the atmosphere consists mostly out of poisened steam. Like nitrogen, methane and ammonia. At the end of the Archaean the oxygen level began to rise. This was caused by the photosynthetic organisms.
